Ben Kin Ho Tsang, a junior at San Jose Independence High, won his qualifying heat of the 110-meter hurdles in a wind-legal 14.36 seconds and placed second in his 300-meter hurdles prelim race in 38.23 seconds to advance to both finals at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium.
